They are built according to Terra's rigorous UltraClean™ manufacturing process. All welding is carefully monitored to ensure continuous seams that are completely free of voids or crevices. After extensive mechanical buffing, benches are electropolished to remove the top layer of subsurface contaminates that can lead to shedding, even on polished stainless steel surfaces. The chromium-rich layer that remains guards against scratching, corrosion and rust, thereby increasing the life of the metal and minimizing the chance of surface breakdown and particle shedding. The result: a bench independently certified as Class 1-compatible.

Bench Designs for Every Cleanroom Requirement!
Select among several standard designs. Solid top floor-mounted models feature two posts with 7.375" (187 mm)-diameter mounting plates and four 0.25 " (6 mm)-diameter holes on 6" (152 mm) centers. These models prevent personnel from shifting bench locations and scratching cleanroom floors—a potential source of contamination. Fixed-installation benches are also ideal for change rooms with determined gowning locations that support a specific gowning protocol.

Free-standing benches feature leveling glides and come with solid, perforated, tube, or rod tops (which accommodate the laminar airflow inside a cleanroom or change room). Terra's cylinder tube benches are fabricated of 1.5" (38 mm)-diameter tube frames and legs; tops are .375" (10 mm)-diameter rods on 1" (25 mm) centers. Their CleanTip™ design minimizes welding and makes it easy to wipe down the entire perimeter of the bench frame.

Optional Bootie Racks are available for selected models. Fabricated of .25" (6 mm)-diameter rods on 2" (51 mm) centers or stainless steel with .75"-diameter perforations, these racks provide convenient storage bins beneath the bench surface.
