This modular work station combines all of the advantages of our standard units with the light-weight durability of polypropylene, which resists the corrosive effects of a wide range of acids and other caustic materials.
The polypropylene top is bonded to a steel frame for support along the entire work surface. The bench frame is made of all-welded square tubing; the heavy-wall tubing used in the construction allows the benchtop to support much heavier loads than conventional benches without sagging. The "A" base table support is adjustable from 25" to 34" floor-to-top and features a white finish. Optional 304 stainless steel lower leg members help guard against scratching. All base designs include leveling feet.
Select either the solid benchtop or a perforated top that features a sub-surface plenum chamber. This perforated top/plenum model is ideal for operations under a vertical laminar flow station; the perforations safely vent fumes that might arise during wet processing applications into the plenum chamber, from which they can be exhausted through a 5" x 40" discharge (custom discharge sizes are available to suit your in-house exhaust system).
Lock-In Frame Adjusts to Your Requirements
Terra's lock-in frame design allows you to add either a shelf support or a combination light/shelf support, along with all the accessories you need.
The versatile overhead fixture accommodates a dual-intensity fluorescent illuminator and utility shelves mounted above the work surface. The fluorescent light assembly includes two fixtures mounted inside the overhead fixture. Each one contains two 40-watt tubes, providing you with either 80 or 160 watts of fluorescent lighting. The three-position rocker switch on the left side of the fixture controls operation: in the UP position, both fixtures are ON; in the bottom position only one fixture is ON, and in the middle position both fixtures are OFF. This variable light control allows you to emphasize one portion of the work area or to provide complete, shadow-free lighting. A light diffuser panel ensures even illumination.
Versatile Shelf Storage
The support uprights allow you to mount one or several 12"-deep shelves. Each shelf runs the width of the bench and can be easily moved up and down by adjusting the lock-in frame support. One or several shelves can be added, simply by removing the light assembly and sliding the shelf sleeve over the support arms.
