This high volume air handler converts any enclosure into a negative-pressure room that safely contains biological materials, pharmaceutical powders, and other potential environmental hazards.
 
Typically, exhaust air from the laminar-flow cleanroom is passed to the air handler by means of take-up ducts located along the room perimeter (see illustration). This is now a single speed blower. To regulate flow, dampers would be needed.  Recirculated air passes back into the room via a ceiling plenum chamber.
 
For air pressure monitoring, a Magnehelic® pressure gauge is included.
