Heated Dehydration Chamber |

This heated chamber dries optics, electronics and microelectronics assemblies, chemicals and other materials at safely controlled humidity and temperature levels. This precise control in turn allows extended drying cycles, which produce less thermal shock and more uniform subsurface drying than high-temperature oven baking. Smart Control Systems Reduce Operating ExpensesBoth the heating and the dehumidification systems provide multiplexed, chamber-by-chamber control for lower operating costs and increased efficiency.Humidity is controlled by a NitroPlex™ system, which regulates the flow of dry process gas, generally nitrogen, into each chamber. Chamber control modules include a humidity sensor, an LED display, and a safety relief/bleed valve. This system allows you to define a subambient humidity set point for each chamber independently. The NitroPlex™ system directs a dry gas purge only to the chamber(s) that need it, and only for as long as necessary to maintain each chamber's humidity set point. By directing gas only where it is needed, this system cuts down on waste and saves on nitrogen expenses--by as much as 78%. Similarly, each chamber incorporates its own heating module. Each module includes a fan that continuously recirculates chamber gas through a 100W, 341 BTU heater. Overtemperature protection ensures that the chamber temperature will not damage stored material or the plastic cabinet itself. The double-wall design, which includes 1.5" (38 mm) of fiberglass insulation, helps minimize heat loss and maintain thermal stability. Controls for each chamber's heating module are incorporated into a stainless steel control housing. The standard system includes three chambers, each with two perforated slide-out 304 stainless steel trays. Trays are easily removed from the runners. Doors include 304 stainless steel door frames, which increase the strength and durability of the cabinet. Terra's unique "e"-profile one-piece gaskets provide a tight seal without the use of adhesives or other materials that can outgas. Locking LiftLatches™ seat the doors firmly against gaskets without straining doors or hinges.
