Viewing
HTML Pages
The navigation
bar on Terra's Main Page gives you access to product information
in html format for fast, easy viewing. Each of the product
categories is linked to a category index page, with pull-down
menus that retrieve the specific product you wish to view.
These pages display full specifications and current pricing.
Content
has been formatted so that pages will load within your browser
window. Longer pages will require that you use your scroll
bar to scroll down.
If page
width exceeds your browser window:
- Maximize
your browser window to the full screen size (the maximize
button is at the top right of both PC and Macintosh windows).
- Increase
your screen resolution to fit more content in the browser
window.
Printing
HTML Pages
You can
print any product page you view. To ensure that all content
appears on your print-out, check these system settings:
- Select
"Shrink to Page" (or "Fit Paper Size") option on your printer
driver. You may also need to reduce the margin settings.
Depending on your computer, these settings are accessible
via the "Print Preview" screen under the File Menu, or under
"Properties" on the printer dialogue box.
- Select
the "Page Setup" screen under the File Menu. Make sure that
you have selected the appropriate paper size. It might also
be necessary to reduce the print size (try 90%).

Viewing,
Printing, and Downloading PDF Files
Complete
contents of Terra's catalog library, along with operating
and maintenance manuals, are available in Portable Document
Format (PDF). These files preserve the formatting of the original
printed publications, allowing you to produce paper copies
that are more readable than HTML files.
PDF files
are located under the "Catalogs" and the "Manuals" header
menus above. To view, print, or download PDF files, you must
have the recent version of Adobe Acrobat® Reader (version
3.0 or higher) installed on your system. This software can
be downloaded for free from http://www.adobe.com

Byteserving
PDF Files
Byteserving,
also known as page-at-a-time downloading, enables you to view
a PDF file from the Web server before the entire file is downloaded.
With byteserving,
a finite range of bytes--usually one page--is served and displayed
when requested, so you only need to wait the time it takes
to download a single page before you view the file. Without
byteserving, you need to wait until an entire PDF file downloads
before you can start reading it. If the PDF file is large,
the delay may be significant.
For byteserving
to function properly, your browser must use the Acrobat plug-in.
In most cases, a standard Reader installation will perform
this configuration automatically. Refer to the configuration
guidelines below if your system is not byteserving.

How
to Install and Configure the Acrobat Plug-in in Netscape for
UNIX
Are the
Web browser plug-ins or ActiveX controls installed in the
correct locations?
Windows
95, Windows 98, and Windows NT 4.0:
Netscape uses the Nppdf32.dll file, which must be in the Netscape\Navigator\Programs\Pluginsfolder.
Internet Explorer uses the ActiveX Control files in the Acrobat
Reader or Acrobat Exchange folder.
If you're
using Reader, the files must be in the Acrobat3\Reader\ActiveX
folder (for version 3.x) or Acrobat4\Acrobat\ActiveX folder
(for version 4.0).
If you're
using Exchange, the files must be in the Acrobat3\Exchange\ActiveX
folder (for version 3.x) or Acrobat4\Acrobat\ActiveX folder
(for version 4.0).
The ActiveX
Control files are Pdf.tlb and one of the following, depending
on which version of Acrobat Reader or Exchange you have: Pdf.ocx
(3.0 or 4.0), Pdf41.ocx (3.1) or Pdf42.ocx (3.2).
Mac OS:
Netscape uses the PDFViewer plug-in. This must be in the Plug-Ins
folder in the Netscape Navigator or Netscape Communicator
folder, depending on which version you're using.
Note that
the Acrobat installer for Mac OS installs the PDFViewer plug-in
in the Web Browser's folder in the Acrobat Reader, Acrobat
Exchange, or Acrobat 4.0 folder. This plug-in must be copied
or moved manually to the folders listed above. Top
