High-Temperature Furnace
This performance-engineered high-temperature furnace is ideally suited for your highest-temperature applications, such as composite research, precious and exotic metals treatment, and high-temperature ceramic research. High-Efficiency Heating SystemIt utilizes Super Kanthal 33 Molybdenum disilicide heating elements for long life at elevated temperatures; the individual elements can be easily replaced to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. Molybdenum disilicide elements do not have to be matched in resistance when replaced, as do other elements.This heating system and the use of advanced fibrous insulation of alumina provide excellent uniformity and outstanding heat-up time (40 minutes to 1600°C) without overstressing the heating elements. The heating elements are recessed along the chamber walls, allowing full access to the working area. Element mounting is designed to facilitate quick and easy element maintenance. Safe Operation The unitized furnace and temperature controller cabinet reduce benchtop space requirements and enhances convenience of operation. The outside surface of the case is designed to remain cool to the touch—even when the furnace is operating at its maximum temperature of 1700°C. You can choose a single set-point or programmable automatic temperature controller. RS232 digital communication is standard on all controls. Programmable controllers feature multi-programmable 4-stored programs of 8 ramps and 8 dwells, allowing versatile control over heating and cooling cycles. The programmable model features ramp rates in degrees per minute and dwell times from 0.1 to 999.9 minutes. Note: Care must be used not to program the controller to heat up or cool down at rates faster than the furnace is able to achieve. This is especially important if you wish to use a ramp segment for cooling. Power conditioning or a non-interruptible power supply is recommended. These ovens are for sale in the U.S. only.
