Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Equipment
The process of PCR can be summarized as follows: 1) heat is applied to denature (separate) the nucleic acid strand; 2) a medium temperature causes primers to anneal, or join, with the newly-created template, and 3) cool temperature, combined with an enzyme, completes the elongation/extension of the strand. Now the newly created sample is stabilized with a chemical buffer and stored at near-freezing temperature. Synthesis and modification of genomic molecules allows scientists to accomplish more today than ever before, and with smaller sample sizes.
Polymerase Chain Reaction helps scientists create critical samples for research. The equipment featured here were selected to help your purchasing efforts: a work station and thermal cyclers necessary for DNA segment replication; lab instruments to support the steps involved in amplification; and gowning and cleaning items to reduce contaminants.
Turnkey laminar-flow PCR Hoods are designed for cloning and amplifying RNA and DNA. They feature our UVC disinfection lamp and pipette shelf
Thermal Cyclers from Benchmark Scientific provide consistent, reliable results for laboratories with medium to high throughput. They have an intuitive interface for quick access to stored programs.
Ideal for routine daily diagnostics, qTOWER combines the versatility of real-time PCR with the speed of rapidPCR into a single device, and avoiding the need for a gradient function.
qTOWER 2.0/2.2 allows quantitative PCR in a 96-well SBS with state-of-the-art heating and cooling rates up to 5.5°C per second and run time of 60 minutes.
The SpeedCycler2 is the fastest available thermal cycler in the world, completing rapidPCR in less than eight minutes. This remarkable performance is contained in a small footprint.
The FlexCycler2 has a large graphical display, low energy consumption and a compact ergonomic design and offers state-of-the-art heating and cooling rates.
