Center-Mount Panel System
304 stainless steel mirror-finish trim strips position panels securely at the center of frame member depths. The attractive trim strips close off gaps to sustain pressure. Positive-pressure air escapes from IsoVent wall openings featuring adjustable louvers.

Terra cleanroom walls are made of durable, easy-to-clean, ISO-grade materials, as specified in FDA guidance documents. Combined with your cGMP processes, they will help you comply with operational requirements.

Cleanroom Support Frame

The support frame is fabricated of interlocking 2" (51 mm) powder-coated square steel uprights and cross sections (stainless steel frames also available, specify when odering). Ceiling members are welded to steel 3" x 1.5" (76 mm x 38 mm) T-bars, forming the 2' x 4' (610 mm x 1219 mm) bays that support filters and lights. Standard height is 7' (2134 mm) measured from filter face to floor (8'3", 2530 mm, with fan/filter unit), allowing installation beneath a standard 9' (2743 mm) ceiling. Other heights are available.

Hardwall Cleanroom Panels

Modular hardwall panels are cut in 4'-wide x 7'-high (1219 mm x 2134 mm) panels. Specify other desired height. They are available in several rigid materials:

Acrylic Panels offer full visibility and outstanding tensile strength. These economical panels are lightweight and easy to clean. Standard panels are clear, but black and amber panels are also available (tinted panels may extend lead time). Acrylic is not recommended for use with alcohol or other strong cleaning agents.

Static-Dissipative PVC Panels are recommended for the most contamination-sensitive applications because of their ability to control particles along with static charges. The friction created by a laminar airflow generates surface charges on nondissipative walls, which in turn attract and hold particles. Your cleanroom wall becomes a particle magnet!

Dissipative PVC safely conducts these surface charges to ground, protecting against potentially damaging ESD (electrostatic discharge) as well as particulate contamination. Dissipative layers are molecularly embedded for optimal durability. Surface resistivity: 106 - 108 ohms/sq. cm (ASTM-D257).

Polycarbonate resists many common acids, solvents and cleaning solutions. Its high tensile strength makes it shatter resistant.

Polypropylene provides superb resistance to acids and other chemicals.

Tempered Glass combines visual clarity with broad chemical resistance and non-porous surfaces for easy sterilization.

L-bracket trim strips hold panels firmly in place along the center of each frame-member 2" depth.

Control room pressure by fine-tuning IsoVent louver placement (opening size).

 

 

Cleanroom Center-Mount Panel System
Eye-catching mirror-finish stainless steel trim strips mounted along the front and back edges of each panel secure walls to the steel frame. Panels are positioned in the middle of frame-member widths for maximum stability. The trim strips' snug fit makes cleaning easy; fewer cracks to trap particles or snag wipers. Trim strips even stand up to room spray-downs. Your cleanroom takes on a "showcase" appearance while complying with stringent ISO levels.

Edges are free of gaps, ensuring an airtight room that maintains positive or negative pressure. Install IsoVent™ wall vents in positive-pressure cleanrooms for efficient air escape. They feature adjustable louvers to help control the volume of air leaving the enclosure (one way to manage room pressure).

A complete system includes fan/filter units and Terra's standard Power Distribution Modules (order separately), in addition to the units specified below. Mounted to the right of the access door, this panel allows convenient control of filter/fan units, lights, ionizing modules, and other environmental monitoring equipment selected for your hardwall modular cleanroom. Fabricated of mirror-finish 304/316L stainless steel or powder-coated steel to match cleanroom design. This system includes top corner operation status indication (OSI) lights that display cleanroom status: lights glow when FFUs (fan/filter units) are in operation, and flash intermittently to indicate they are off. For Hardwall and BioSafe® Cleanroom designs only, it includes a Magnehelic® Differential Pressure Gauge (0.25-0-0.25"WC).
