No. 3949-07: 10-chamber acrylic ValuLine Desiccator
  • Low-cost system provides a controlled flow of nitrogen to prevent moisture-related degradation of stored materials
  • Rigid cabinet construction includes rear plenum chamber, for uniform gas distribution, and reinforced doors
  • Available in five chamber configurations, in clear acrylic or static-dissipative PVC, which eliminates static charges that attract and hold particles
  • Chrome-plated wire racks allow shelf adjustment to accommodate varying part sizes (order plastic or stainless steel shelves separately)
  • Parts standardization simplifies upgrades and replacements
  • Turnkey systems include flowmeter and Automatic RB® (Relief/Bleed) Valve — just connect to N2 source and you're ready for operation
  • Ideal for low-frequency access applications; select Terra's Adjust-A-Shelf™ Desiccator for rapid low-RH recovery in high-throughput environments
Designed for Clean, Durable Operation
Designed for purging with nitrogen to achieve low-humidity conditions, each model includes a perforated rear plenum wall that strengthens the cabinet and allows gas to enter all chambers uniformly.

Doors feature reinforcement ribs to ensure a better seal against closed-cell gasketing. The expansion latches eliminate internal scraping caused by rotary-style latches; the closing mechanism is positioned outside the chamber to keep stored materials clean.

Select among five standard sizes. Acrylic models provide strength and full visibility of stored parts but do not stand up to repeated wipe-down with strong cleaning agents (including alcohol). They also accumulate static surface charges that can lead to electro-static discharge.

Static-Dissipative PVC models eliminate these problems. Durable, molecularly embedded dissipative layers ensure safe removal of surface charges, protecting against both ESD and particle attractions. They also offer wide chemical resistance and are safe for use with alcohol.

All models below include a flowmeter, Automatic RB (Relief/Bleed) Valve, and chrome-plated wire racks. Select desired shelves and stand separately.

Shelves
Shelves and Tray
Acrylic shelves feature stainless steel front and back reinforcements to prevent bowing. Solid or perforated electropolished 304 stainless steel shelves are sealed in plastic before shipping to minimize contamination.

Order desired shelves separately:
SS-reinforced plastic (top), electropolished 304 SS perforated (center) or electropolished SS solid (bottom)

Trays can be used for storage within the desiccator, and are a convenient way to carry parts after they are removed.
