Particle Control

The degree of protection (isolation) from particulate contamination, including sub-micron dust, aerosol, bacteria and other germs.

General Dust-Free Enclosures provide no filtration. Nitrogen purged systems typically use filtered nitrogen, but these chambers provide no additional particle control or removal.

closed loop filtration

Closed Loop Open Loop
Turbulent-Flow Filtration circulates the process environment through 99.99% efficient HEPA filters (rated at 0.3µm particles) or 99.999% efficient ULPA filters (rated at 0.12µm particles). Closed loop systems continuously recirculate gas; open-loop systems provide single-pass filtration of incoming gas and final filtration before it is released outside the enclosure.

closed loop filtration Laminar-Flow Filtration provides a vertical laminar flow of HEPA-filtered air moving at a uniform rate [typically 90 – 100 ft (27 - 30 meters) /minute] through the chamber. Air exits through openings either on the floor or at the rear of the chamber.
