What is a Synchronous Tilting Mechanism?
When tilting back in a chair with a simple mechanism, the backrest and the seat lean back together because they are rigidly attached in an "L" shape. The synchronous tilting mechanism allows the seat and the backrest to move independently when leaning back, with the angle of the backrest changing faster than the angle of the seat. This design lessens the pressure exerted on the bottom of the thighs as you lean back, resulting in a more natural and comfortable posture. The weight regulation provides a small amount of resistance when tilting back to avoid a sudden weight shift.
