- 90 degree pass-through chambers can be designed with the isolated interlock on the inside or outside of the 90° bend, which changes the direction of the door-opening to suit the workspace.
- In some cases, the opposite side of a wall may be inaccessible and the pass-through must be divided into two sections in order to facilitate installation.
- The mounting brackets also may have to be adapted to allow insertion of the Smart Pass-through into the wall cut-outs.
- A 90°-turn Smart® pass-through cannot utilize the CleanMount® system found on the standard Smart® pass-through. External fasteners will be required to mount the pass-through to the wall (likely in addition to support brackets installed underneath the pass-through chamber).

Smart® Pass-Through with "T" Shape 3-Door Design for USP 800 Hazardous Compounding
Terra’s Smart® pass-through chambers can be configured as a "T" or "X" shape to connect multiple rooms. This 3-door configuration for an in-patient pharmacy interconnects the USP 800 room (negative pressure), chemo room (negative pressure), and ante room.
Door Configurations for 90 Degree Corner Passthrough Chamber
Cleanroom passthroughs with 90 degree corners can be designed with unique door swing directions to avoid obstructions such as adjacent doors. The Smart control panel can be on the inside or outside of the 90 degree bend to simplify install and maintenance.
Removable Cart Ramps on Floor-Mount Models
Floor-mount pass-through chambers include dual-side stainless steel cart ramps, sloped on three sides, that are removable for easy cleaning.
Interlock Status Lights
Prevent operator damage! A green light bar indicates the door is available for use, with the electronic interlock disengaged. The bar turns red when the opposing door is open to indicate the electronic interlock is engaged.

Smart® Pass-Throughs include visible/audible door status alerts: red light and chimes indicate opposing door open (interlock engaged); green light means door available for use. Smart add-ons expand capabilties: LED/UV light, access control, air shower, more!
