Specifications
Specifications are believed to be the latest data available and accurate at the time of publication. However, this is a changing world and specification changes and corrections may be made at any time and without prior notice.
Prices & Pricing
Terra honors published prices worldwide. Current prices are listed on Terra's web site, TerraUniversal.com. Terra will gladly provide a formal quotation with 30-day price protection. Otherwise, all prices are subject to change without notice. All prices listed on the site or quoted are net of an anticipated prompt payment with a discount of 10% for payment within terms.
Quantity Pricing
Quantity pricing is available on many items for volume purchases meeting minimum quantities. Large projects may also qualify for project pricing. Send your shopping list for a guaranteed quotation. Terra meets competitors' prices for like products.
Evaluation Orders
Terra may accept evaluation orders on certain standard items. Evaluation items are offered for a specific trial period, generally 15 days. You may purchase evaluation items by keeping them and paying the evaluation invoice. Terra's practice is to bill for the evaluation items upon shipment and allow full credit if the items are returned during the trial period. Evaluation items may be returned by requesting a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) during the trial period, returning the items via the transportation method originally used, in original condition and in original packaging material, and paying return freight.
Payment Terms
Open account terms are available only after credit review and only to institutions meeting credit standards located in countries in which Terra has established payment systems. Visa, MasterCard, letters of credit, and other advance-pay terms are accepted. Open accounts, when granted, generally carry 15-day (North America) or 30-day terms (most of Europe and specified countries). In almost all cases, a new account requires successful completion of at least one order on a prepaid basis before open terms are authorized. Prepayments may be made by credit card (Visa, MasterCard and American Express in most countries), check, letter of credit (subject to terms approval by Terra) or the big winner, wire transfer. In certain cases a credit card convenience fee is assessed to offset costs charged by the credit card company.

A Late Charge is invoiced on product and service invoices unpaid 15 days after their due dates. The late charge must be paid to restore open account status. The late charge is 10% of the products and services invoiced or the discount granted, if any, on these items, whichever is greater. Invoice due date is based on date shipped. Accounts unpaid after 45 days (60 days outside North America) accrue interest at 1.5% per month.
Minimum Orders
Standard domestic orders under $1,500 (international orders under $2,000) must be prepaid by an approved advance-pay method. Orders under $50 are not accepted.
Custom Orders
Terra maintains an on-site staff of engineers ready to design custom solutions to your specifications. Terra will provide formal quotations based on detailed drawings. Based on approved credit, custom order terms for orders under $5,000 are net 15 days up to client credit limit. Custom order terms for orders with approved credit over $5,000 are 90% on receipt of order and 10% 15 days after shipping, with installation and estimated freight and handling payable prior to shipping. Other payment terms apply to clients in selected industries and regions. Shipping date estimates begin on receipt of customer approval of drawings and the initial payment. Custom orders are not returnable or cancelable without approval from Terra and require payment of incurred costs.
Estimated Shipping Dates
All Estimated Ship Dates (ESDs) are estimates, depend on workloads when the order is ready for manufacturing release and are NOT guaranteed. Terra offers guaranteed delivery dates; inquire about optional FasTrak coverage. Available as an option, some FasTrak service levels allow you to specify your ship date and offer a rebate is the date is not met. Estimated lead times begins when the order is released for production or purchase. Orders are not accepted or released for production until Terra reviews and accepts the PO, payment terms, credit reports and pricing and receipt of any required drawing approvals and advance payments.
FOB Points
Most North American orders can be shipped FOB Destination. Outside North America, orders ship Ex Works. FOB “Destination” orders ship “prepaid and add” with the freight cost plus a handling charge computed under Terra’s standard policy added to each shipment. FOB Destination means that risk of loss transfers when the shipment is delivered. Terra directly handles losses and damage on FOB Destination shipments which is faster and fairer than common carrier. Orders shipped FOB Ex Works require the client to specify and pay the carrier, and risk of loss passes to the client when the goods are loaded on the truck. The client files freight damage/loss claims directly with the freight carrier. To reduce costs and speed delivery, it may be necessary to ship from different factories and in different shipments. These are not “partial shipments.”
Special Packaging
Generally, product prices include crating service fees and other special packaging that may be required. Any additional packaging costs will be indicated on quotations and order confirmations.
Export Control
Terra strictly enforces all US laws concerning export of sensitive products. Quotes are issued and orders received with the understanding that the "Ship To" addressee and location provided by you are the final destination of these products for purposes of Department of Commerce export regulations and that you will notify Terra if these change. If an export license is required, a processing charge of $500 is due with order. Export licenses require undeterminable time for US Department of Commerce processing. Orders requiring export licenses are not accepted or released until the licenses are received.
Shortage or Damage
Upon receipt of any equipment from Terra Universal Inc., client shall immediately unpack and inspect for damage or shortage. The client shall not accept a damaged package or a short shipment until the carrier makes a "damage or shortage" notation on both carrier's and client’s copy of the freight bill or delivery receipt. If the order was shipped FOB Destination, client must immediately file a claim with Terra, which will handle the claim directly. If the order was shipped Ex-Works, client is responsible for filing with the carrier and for collecting from the carrier. Replacement products must be ordered and paid for separately.

Generally, customers can improve the chance of collecting on a freight claim by following these procedures: 1) Formally requesting immediately upon suspecting damage or shortage that the carrier inspect the shipment to verify condition; 2) Notifying the carrier upon discovery of concealed damage and requesting an inspection within 15 days of receipt, both in person or phone and following up via mail; 3) Keeping the shipment as intact as possible, including retaining original packaging material and keeping the product as close to the original receiving location as possible; 4) In all cases, holding salvage for disposition by the carrier.
Returning Goods
All returns must be approved by Terra in writing in advance. Custom items and many special order items may not be canceled or returned. Items authorized for return may carry a restocking fee. All items accepted by Terra must be in original condition and in original shipping containers and returned freight prepaid, FOB Terra. Terra may elect to issue return credits against future orders rather than cash refunds. All such credits expire in 60 days, unless a waiver is applied for and approved by Terra.

Before any item may be returned, you must first obtain an RMA number. No returns will be accepted without an RMA. The RMA request should include the following information:
  • Customer's name and address as it appears on the invoice
  • Customer's purchase number
  • Terra invoice number
  • Packing tracking number
  • Quantity, description of the items to be returned
  • Reason for return
Terra will evaluate the request and respond with an RMA or decline the request with an explanation. The RMA will specify the shipping method and special labeling and packaging requirements which must be followed to qualify for a credit. Returns shipped freight collect will be refused. RMAs generally provide for the customer to pay return freight. RMAs expire 30 days from the day issued. Returned goods MUST be shipped within that 30-day period. After expiration, the RMA is not valid and cannot be reissued.
Items Not Authorized for Return
Custom order items, items not purchased from Terra Universal, products modified, painted, damaged, used improperly, repaired or carrying special ID labels or name plates and items not in original packaging are not returnable.
