WARNING: UVC exposure can lead to injury, including blindness!
Acrylic, PVC, and most glass provides an effective UVC shield, but sash openings on hoods can allow UVC exposure. Always wear protective gear, including goggles, face shield, and gloves, when operating a UVC lamp that is not completely shielded.
