Tenney Junior Benchtop and Tenney Junior Upright Test Chambers
The Tenney Junior and Tenney Junior Upright Test Chambers feature a temperature range of -75 to +200° C and are maximized for interior space while keeping a small footprint, either on the benchtop or on the floor. These chambers are well-suited for use in electronic, military, and pharmaceutical quality assurance and reliability testing, as well as research testing and production processes. A controller allows users to set the temperature or to enter, store and execute eight temperature profiles, while a digital display continuously reveals the actual temperature chamber.
Uniform conditions are assured through the use of a vertical-down recirculating conditioning stream. The system draws air from the bottom of the workspace as required, then discharges the air through a grille at the ceiling level. The compact design of the conditioning plenum allows the test chambers to offer a larger proportion of interior volume to exterior volume than that afforded by conventional chambers.
The Tenney Hermeticool® air-cooled, readily accessible hermetic system uses accurately calibrated capillary tubes rather than mechanical expansion valves. This simplifies the refrigeration system and reduces the likelihood of leaks.
Low-mass nichrome, open-wire heating elements are used to reduce thermal lag and provide rapid response to instrument demand. The heating elements are isolated from the workspace to reduce radiant influence on the test item.
Advanced Control System
Temperature conditions are controlled by a Watlow F4 controller. Profile operations include 24 step program capability, time/temperature profile-rate, or time-based programming, guaranteed soak deviation, and program looping. The W942 can also be used for simple single, or fixed set point operation.
An RTD sensor is used for temperature measurement. Dual outputs are configured in the time proportioned, On/Off, or switched DC modes. Two optional auxiliary outputs can be set up as alarms, or time-based events. Optional retransmit output allows the retransmit of set point or process variable. Data communications is included using RS232/RS423.
Durable, Low-Maintenance Construction
All models feature vapor-tight, continuously welded stainless steel interiors. Structural reinforcement is used at all critical points. A combination of fiberglass and polyurethane insulation surrounds the chamber to maximize insulating characteristics, thus ensuring minimal thermal transfer.
Since the unit’s chamber is continuously welded, the door functions as the final sealing surface to maintain atmosphere integrity. All doors are equipped with double gaskets that trap air for the purpose of insulation. |
