Either way, you receive the cleanest, most durable panels available. Standard softwall curtains are fabricated of heavy-duty, blur-free 40 mil material—double the industry standard—ensuring enhanced tear resistance and eliminating the need for unsightly sewn sash weights. Curtains are RF welded, rather than sewn, for improved cleanliness and durability. Strip shields, made of 60 mil material, come standard in 8" widths, with 2" overlap, to form parting doors or reach-throughs.

Select the panel material to meet your application requirements. Cleanroom-Grade Vinyl is low-outgassing. Static-Dissipative Vinyl adds permanent built-in static inhibitors that, unlike topical treatments, will not wear off. Tests performed per ASTM D257 show surface resistivity of 1.8 x 1010 ohms/sq.

Terra also offers panels made from static-dissipative polyurethane that provides permanent, humidity-independent ESD protection from sensitive manufacturing conditions. It contains no plasticizer, making it virtually non-outgassing.

Ordering Guide

Select the height and material desired for flexible curtain panels. Pricing indicated is per linear foot. Use quantity to indicate the length in feet of the curtain or strip panel (e.g., quantity 8 = an eight-foot run of material of the specified height). Grip-Track™ mount is standard; specify any other desired mounting system.

When ordering panels with Terra's Softwall Cleanroom, provide a drawing that shows the nominal dimensions and floorplan of your cleanroom. If you select curtain panels, indicate the location and width of any desired access door.

Based on your drawing, Terra will configure the optimal curtain placement. On a standard basis, an access door, made of alternating clear/frosted strip shields of the curtain panel material specified, will be installed at the location you indicate.

In the example at right, an order for 80' of panel would be processed according to the drawing to include four corners and four feet of alternating clear and frosted strip shields positioned in the center of one side.

Please note these construction details:

• Standard curtains come in 4-foot long panels, which are mounted to create the run specified.
  
• Corners are notched to ensure a snug fit against frame corners.
  
• Adjacent panels overlap by 6", which generally provides an adequate air barrier.
