The Kleer-Vue Sorbent Box is a small, perforated canister packed with indicating silica gel that will protect sensitive materials from deterioration, rust, corrosion, mold, mildew and other damage caused by moisture exposure.
Safe, Simple to Use and Regenerate
Just place a Sorbent Box in any sealed, moisture-resistant container to create a dry storage or shipping package. A single unit dries a minimum of three cubic feet of air.
The silica gel inside attracts, condenses and holds water vapor physically through surface adsorption and capillary action. As it adsorbs moisture, the blue silica gel turns pink, indicating loss of adsorption potential. To regenerate the package, simply heat it in a microwave oven. After several heating cycles of less than 45 seconds each, the silica gel releases adsorbed water vapor and turns blue again, indicating that it's ready for use. (Note: be sure to let the unit cool between cycles.) With proper regeneration, sorbent boxes can be reused 1,000 times!
