The Terra Security Faraccator™ Storage System combines the static-free, contamination-proof environment of a Faraccator cabinet with the maximum security so often required in a manufacturing environment. Its state-of-the-art design incorporates an inner and outer shell that shields contents against electrostatic charges without the need for ionizing nozzles—while at the same time rendering the system tamperproof

The many human-engineered features of this modular system provide maximum user comfort, increase productivity, save storage space, and ensure efficient use of personnel. Its removable trays also help to reduce part rejects. Operators no longer have to leave access doors open during time-consuming sorting and inventory procedures—and increase the possibility of contamination inflow that can damage components. Instead, trays can simply be removed and transported to a laminar flow station, where kitting can be performed safely.

Outer Shell—Inconspicuous Security
The outer shell looks no different from a standard filing cabinet. A lockbar mechanism, which accepts any standard lock, ensures total security, and the full-length door provides immediate access to any of the four secondary doors of the inner shell. The outer shell is fabricated of C.R. steel and finished with semigloss, chip-resistant enamel; standard color is beige.

Inner Shell—Clean, Low-Humidity Environment
The inner shell is constructed of contamination-free clear acrylic or static-dissipative PVC to ensure cleanliness and to allow easy frontal viewing. It maintains a constant positive pressure that blocks the inflow of atmospheric contaminants and moisture while all doors are closed. The four 12" x 12" secondary access doors allow limited access to stored materials and thereby prevent the exposure of materials to inrushing moisture and contaminants that result from larger access doors.

Static-dissipative PVC not only dissipates static charges safely, but also eliminates particle attractions; surfaces stay clean—both inside and out. Full specifications on this material.

Slide-Out Drawers and Runners
The system's conductive drawers are made of 304 stainless steel. They can be easily removed and used as handling trays throughout manufacturing or testing operations; this flexibility eliminates the need directly to touch—and possibly to contaminate—sensitive microelectronic components. It also allows you to perform kitting and inventory procedures at a laminar flow station—and to minimize the time that access doors must remain open. Optional stainless steel inlays and dividers let you create the bin sizes you need for optimal organization of stored material. Standard system provides 3.0625" or 5.25" of overhead drawer clearance—plenty of space for waffle packs, wafers, photomasks, and any other microelectronic products.

The trays mount easily into the system's runners to become slide-out drawers. Runners are made of chrome-plated steel and feature an easy-glide suspension system that supports up to 60 lbs. when fully extended and allows full access to every inch of drawer space. Two-drawer compartments provide 5.25" of clearance for stored materials (such as 4" waffle packs); three-drawer compartments provide 3.0625" of clearance.

Terra offers 2", 3", and 5" high drawers to enhance ESD shielding and storage flexibility. Higher drawer heights eliminate exposure of larger stored materials to induced static charge and provide greater protection against contaminants when drawers are used as carrying trays. Two-inch high trays are ideal for 2" waffle packs, while 3" and 5" high trays safely store larger waffle packs, wafer boats, reticles, transistors, and many other microelectronic devices. Select 2" or 3" trays for 3-drawer compartments (with 3.0625" of clearance); 5" trays for 2-drawer compartments (with 5.25" of clearance).

Stainless Steel Inlay Package
The optional inlay package furnishes each drawer with 304 stainless steel inlay slides, slotted every .375" to permit easy insertion of stainless steel dividers (dividers must be ordered separately). By adjusting the slotted sides from left to right, and the dividers front to back, you can create the bin sizes you need for your particular products. The all-stainless steel construction provides a contamination-free environment for organized storage of parts and for their convenient transport through different manufacturing processes. Grounding System
The Security Faraccator comes completely ready for operator hook-up! Its design makes the penetration of electrostatic charges into the cabinet shell virtually impossible. In fact, tests show that the electrostatic protection provided by the Security Faraccator far exceeds that of stainless steel desiccator cabinets with glass sides or doors; it conforms to both DOD HDBK 263 and the static decay requirements of MIL-SPEC 1686.

Humidity Controllers Automate Dry Storage
Terra's Dual Purge™ and NitroWatch® Humidity Control Systems take the guesswork out of low-humidity storage. They also allow convenient monitoring of the enclosure while the security system is closed.

The NitroWatch® monitors the current relative humidity level and also displays the user-selected humidity set point. When the humidity level inside the cabinet climbs above this level, the Dual Purge™ activates a high flow of nitrogen to reduce the RH level below the set point and then re-establishes an economical low-level purge. This advanced humidity control not only ensures the dry conditions your sensitive materials require, but also economizes on nitrogen use.

The Automatic RB® Valve continuously bleeds off excess internal gas to maintain a constant pressure of about 0.05"WC and automatically releases any sudden purge that might result from a malfunction in the gas supply. Full description.
