Desiccant dryers lower the dew point of compressed air by adsorbing the water vapor in the compressed air onto the surface of the desiccant. Twin towers allow the inlet air to be dried in one tower while the desiccant in the other tower is being regenerated (dried).
These dual-tower regenerative desiccant dryers are an economical and reliable way to dry compressed air to dew points below the freezing point of water or to reduce the moisture content of compressed air for use in critical process applications.
Compressed air is continuously dried through the use of two identical towers, each with a desiccant bed. While one tower is on-stream drying the compressed air, the other tower is off-stream being regenerated (dried out). The inlet air is controlled by a switching valve and an electric timer. The towers are alternated in this manner so that dry desiccant is always in contact with the wet compressed air, resulting in a continuous supply of dry air downstream. The timer in the unit can be easily field adjusted to a 4-minute cycle for a -100°F pressure dew point or a 10-minute cycle for a -40°F pressure dew point. Inlet air temperature should be kept between 40°F and 120°F. Housed in NEMA 1 enclosure. All dryers should be installed with a prefilter and an after-filter.

| Compressed Air Filter with differential pressure gauge (included on all filters) |
Compressed Air Filters
To ensure optimal purity of dry air, select the following filters for your Desiccant Dryer. All filters include a differential pressure gauge that indicates filter condition.
One-Micron Air Line Filter
This filter removes all solids one micron and larger, liquid loads up to 2000 ppm by weight, 100% of water droplets, and 70% of oil aerosols. It is used as an after-filter on desiccant dryers.
Oil Removal Filter
Removes all solids 0.025 microns and larger, liquid loads up to 100 ppm by weight, and more than 99.999% of oil aerosols.
Automatic Drains for Compressed Air Systems
Discharges moisture and oil from compressed air system, eliminating the need to drain or bleed lines manually.
