Kelvinator Whole Blood and Plasma Storage
Kelvinator Scientific offers a complete selection of refrigerators and freezers designed specifically for the laboratory and pharmacy. Capacities range from 27.3 to 76.2 cubic feet. Refrigerators have a temperature range of 3ºC to 13ºC (35ºF to 55ºF) and feature cycle defrost. Freezers have a temperature range of -12ºC to -40ºC (10ºF to -40ºF) and feature automatic defrost. Urethane foam-insulated solid doors delivery maximum insulating efficiency and added strength to the doors, while glass door models feature durable double-paned tempered glass to save energy. Cabinet construction is 22 gauge cold rolled steel on the exterior and 26 gauge galvanized steel on the interior. All surfaces are finished with high luster powder coating for easier cleaning and attractive appearance. |

Blood Bank Storage
Coming in capacities of 27.3 and 49.1 cubic feet, Kelvinator Scientific’s whole blood storage refrigerators (blood bank refrigerators) have their temperature factory set at 4°C with a range of 0°C to 13°C (32°F to 55°F). Single- and double-door models are available, and both units use only non-CFC refrigerants. |

Plasma Freezers
Plasma freezers are available in single-door models and with 27.3-cubic-feet capacity. A temperature range of -12°C to -30°C (10°F to -20°F) provides proper conditions needed for plasma storage. Both blood bank refrigerators and plasma freezers come with alarm systems and temperature recorders. Non-CFC refrigerants are used only. |
