It provides three crucial functions. During normal operation, it allows a continuous low-level release of gas to maintain a safe internal positive pressure. In the event of a sudden increase in the incoming gas supply, it automatically opens to relieve the high pressure. Finally, it functions as a check valve to ensure that air and contaminants cannot enter the enclosure in the event of a momentary negative pressure. Most important, it provides operator peace of mind. Its field-proven reliability guarantees that your cabinets maintain a safe positive pressure, even when subjected to a high-flow of purge gas. It also safeguards your investment in a processing chamber by preserving doors and seals. Select the Static-Dissipative PVC model for use in Terra's glove boxes. The compact size makes it ideal for mounting either internally or externally. The static-dissipative PVC material resists a wide range of process gases and chemicals and will not generate surface charges, an important consideration in static-sensitive applications. For effective pressure relief select one valve per air lock, up to 8 cu. ft. (0.2 m³) and two valves per glove box, up to 45 cu. ft.( 1.3 m³) Stainless Steel Design for Caustic GasTerra's stainless steel Automatic RB® Valve is designed for use with caustic gas. It incorporates a Teflon® valve mechanism. Both models come with all necessary mounting hardware. Installation is included if ordered with glove box.
