Features of HERAcell 150i and 240i CO2 Direct Heat Incubators with Copper and Stainless Steel Chambers
Designed to provide optimal growth conditions to enhance cell growth, the HERAcell 150i and 240i CO2 Incubators have a range of features for accurate, uniform and reliable culturing conditions. Units are available with thermal conductivity or infrared sensors, located inside the chamber, for precise environmental measurements. The fan-assisted convection provides samples with a uniform temperature, CO2 and humidity within the incubator. Because constant humidity is paramount for cell protection and optimal growth, the patented floor heating system directly transfers heat to the humidity reservoir for optimal humidity and allows for rapid recovery of moisture levels after doors are opened. The water level sensor alarms when later levels are low and the iCAN touchscreen clearly displays performance trends of your culturing process and monitors the progress of the ContraCon decontamination routine. Designed with a pan-less system to reduce handling, recovery rates are up to five times faster than standard tray humidified incubators.
The ContraCon 90°C moist heat decontamination cycle eliminates variability in disinfection. It eliminates disassembly of sensors, hardware and other components. This feature is effective against:

Copper has a natural antimicrobial feature that delivers non-stop bactericidal and fungicidal protection to samples on contact. As the choice of many cell culture professionals, copper maximizes productivity and minimizes contamination especially in shared-use environments.
The tarnishing effects on copper increase with age thus increasing the antimicrobial efficiency. Because copper ions are not airborne, they do not effect or interfere with the integrity of cultures.
