Teardrop Lights
Ideal for Class 1 or Class 10 cleanrooms, in which near-100% filter coverage of the ceiling leaves no space for standard fluorescent light modules. Aerodynamic design ensures minimal interference of the laminar airflow. Dimensions: 48"L x 2"D x 6"H. Price includes installation (specify desired location when ordering).
2' x 4' Ceiling Module
This 2' x 4' painted steel housing includes four fluorescent light tubes, providing 4,560 foot candles. Price includes installation (specify desired location when ordering).
Flow-Through Module
Low-profile, fluorescent-tube module stacks beneath a 2' x 4' FFU. Adds 4.75" to ceiling height. Intensity: 3,150 foot candles. Must be ordered together with FFU.

** Candela (candlepower) is an expression of intensity at the light source. To calculate foot candles at your work surface, divide candlepower by the square of the distance from light to surface:
For instance, a standard 2’ x 4’ ceiling fixture, which produces 3409 candle power at the lamp positioned 5.5 feet above a workstation (a typical distance in a room with an 8-feet high ceiling), provides about 113 foot candles of light at the work surface (3409/30.25 = 112.69). This is equivalent to 1215 lux (at 10.76 lux/fc). See lighting recommendations below. |

Cleanroom Lighting
Terra offers three lighting modules.
For applications that do not require 100% FFU ceiling coverage, 2' x 4' illuminators can be positioned in unused ceiling grids.
For applications that require total or near-total FFU ceiling coverage, teardrop and flow-through lighting modules are available. Teardrop fluorescent lights mount to the ceiling grid below the FFU. Their aerodynamic design does not interfere with the laminar airflow. Each of these single-tube lights requires 6" of vertical clearance below the FFU filter face.
As an alternative to teardrop lights, you can select 2' x 4' flow-through lights, which are stacked below the FFU. Flow-through lights add 4 3/4" to the ceiling height but require no vertical clearance below the filter face, making them ideal for low-ceiling cleanrooms.
