Purifier® Logic™ Class II Biosafety Cabinets |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Purifier® Logic™ Biosafety Cabinets set the standard for safety, performance and ergonomics. These cabinets have been completely redesigned from the Delta Series cabinets they replace. They meet or exceed all the standards set forth by the NSF International, including 99.99% efficient HEPA filters, nominal inflow of 105 fpm (.53 m/s), and all positive-pressure ducts surrounded by negative pressure plenums. Computerized Monitoring of Purifier® Logic™ Class II Biosafety Cabinet OperationPurifier® Logic™ Biosafety Cabinets utilize Electronically Commutated Motor (EMC) Technology, which precisely controls airflow without the need for airflow sensors. The motor is programmed during the cabinet’s manufacturing process to consistently deliver the precise volume of air required, even as filters load.A unique line-of-sight LCD information center, which is in constant communication with the ECM, continuously monitors and displays the cabinet’s performance, including remaining HEPA filter life. Other intelligent safety features include the Smart-Start and Night-Smart Systems. Smart-Start allows the user to program start-up and shut-down procedures such as activation and deactivation of the blower and fluorescent and UV lights when the sash is opened or closed. Automating routine start-up and shut-down procedures assures consistent, operator-independent operation and saves time. Night-Smart idles the blower at 30% speed or less when the sash is fully closed to help maintain a clear, particulate-free environment inside the cabinet during periods of non-use.

Type A2 Biological Safety CabinetsThe diagram below illustrates the airflow pattern of an A2 Biosafety Cabinet. Type A2 cabinets are suitable for work with agents the require Biosafety Level 1, 2 or 3. Other appropriate applications include work with antioneplastic drugs, genetic material, carcinogens, allergens and additional substances that generate hazardous airborne particulates. Purifier® Logic™ Class II, Type A2 Biosafety Cabinets are designed to discharge HEPA-filtered exhaust air directly into the laboratory, or into an exhaust system through the optional Canopy Connection. When canopy-connected, the biosafety cabinets may be used for applications involving minute quantities of volatile toxic chemicals and trace amounts of radionuclides as an adjunct to microbiological research. These benchtop cabinets are available in three-, four-, five- and six-foot (914 mm, 1219 mm, 1524 mm, 1829 mm) nominal widths. |
