Ordering Instructions
Swing direction depends on hinge installation (hinges not included)
- Choose door configuration (single or double)
- Choose door width
- Specify wall thickness
- Choose window style, if desired. Wired-glass windows (single-door only) are fire-rated and impact-rated; available in two sizes to allow visibility into the connecting room
- Specify lock location, if desired (right-hand, or left-hand)
- Specify desired lock-prep type (cylindrical or mortise)
Single Doors:
Two lock-prep options are available for single door models: (1) The cylindrical lock prep is government 161 with 2-3/4" backset. (2) The 86 mortise lock prep has a 2-3/4" backset trim cutout. Locking mechanisms preserve the safe fire-rating of the door. Preps can be placed on left- or right-hand sides (specify at time of order).
Double Doors:
One lock-prep option is available for double door models. Double doors come with cylindrical-lock preps for installation of desired handles. The 1.75"-thick doors are left-hand reverse (LHR), with the doors opening out from the room.
Fire Rated Door: Left Hand Lock Prep
Specify the lock location to your Terra product specialist; connecting hardware and fasteners must be installed opposite "Clean" side.
Fire Rated Door: Right Hand Lock Prep
Specify the lock location to your Terra product specialist; connecting hardware and fasteners must be installed opposite "Clean" side.
Fire-Rated Door Honeycomb Insulation
Honeycomb structure inside door insulates and strengthens.
Cleanroom Fire-Rated Doors
UL-listed fire-rated door with wired-glass window, shown with optional mortise locking mechanism and hinges installed. SIngle- and double-door designs available.
Door Swing Direction
Door swing direction is easily determined while standing on the SECURE SIDE (key side) or OUTSIDE of the door.
Electromagnetic Door Interlock Diagram
Electromagnetic door interlock systems reduce cross-contamination by ensuring specific doors never open simultaneously. The central control module connects to electronic maglocks, allowing up to 6 interlocking doorways. Maglocks engage with 600lb of holding force and can be easily disabled in case of an emergency.
