This powder-coated steel frame allows a pass-through to be suspended between two vertical posts on one of Terra Universal's Modular Cleanrooms. Once installed, the frame provides a secure fastening point for the pass-through mounting brackets.
Adding a duct flange to the top of the passthrough allows the chamber to be ventilated by a remote blower. The ULPA-filtered inlet, housed in a perforated stainless steel cage, provides the necessary make-up air without contaminating the chamber.
The CleanTop™ is designed for installations that require the chamber to be centered in the wall. The 30° sloping top on the cleanroom-side minimizes particle accumulation and accommodates laminar downward airflow.
A stainless steel support bracket is recommended for pass-throughs that are deeper than 36". These bracket fastens to the wall and the body of the chamber simply rests upon the horizontal bar; no fasteners are used on the pass-through itself.
Runners provide extra support when sliding the shelves out of the chamber, allowing the operator to use both hands to unload the contents. All shelf components are easily removed for thorough cleaning or decontamination.
The Smart Pass-Through intercom users on either side of the pass-through to clearly communicate with personnel in the other room. Intercom buttons and speakers are built into the body of the pass-through for a seamless appearance.
Terra’s unique LiftLatches™ use leverage to apply force in a gentle, controlled manner, eliminating rotary motion used on other latches that strain wrists and door hinges. The LiftLatch snaps into place to produce a positive seal.
By recirculating the interior air, airborne particles are rapidly removed by successive passes through the HEPA filter. Recirculation also minimizes pressure buildup that can cause leakage into an adjacent positive-pressure cleanroom.
