WhisperFlow™ Fan/Filter Units (FFUs)

• Quiet, low-vibration design: only 50 dBA, measured 30" (762 mm) from filter face @ 90 FPM (.5 m/s)
• Provides an average airflow velocity of 90+ feet per minute (.45+ m/sec) and airflow of 640+ CFM (1088 m³/hr) under filter load at medium speed (2' x 4', 610 mm x 1219 mm, model)
• Three-speed switch provides simplifies air balancing (see below for EnergySaver Remote Control System)

These reliable, self-powered Fan/Filter Units provide a uniform flow of microfiltered air to meet cleanliness standards down to Class 10 (ISO 4).

All models use a 3-speed, centrifugal-type fan/motor with permanently lubricated bearings mounted inside a white powder-coated steel housing with drop-in prefilter (stainless steel available).

Advanced baffling technology ensures uniform airflow across the filter face and attenuates sound. Select HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filters, rated 99.99% efficient at removing particle ≥ 0.3 microns, or ULPA (Ultra-Low Penetration Air) filters, rated 99.9995% efficient at removing particles ≥ 0.128 microns. Provides years of no-maintenance, 24/7 operation, depending on your air quality.

Power Distribution Modules

Dramatically simplifies connection of ceiling lights and fan/filter modules (FFUs) and allows operation from a single Control Panel (no. 6600-23, order separately). Each accommodates up to 5 lights and 5 FFUs and includes a step-down transformer for low-voltage control and operation status indicator circuits. Includes relays and circuit breakers for overload protection of all connected devices, AC contactors, and NEC-compliant quick-connect fittings for lights and FFUs. Price includes installation on specified Terra cleanroom. Each module must be wired to a dedicated 35A fused 120VAC or 30A fused 240VAC circuit.

Power Distribution Modules, for use with EnergySaver FFU Control System
This 20-amp version of the model above is configured to allow FFU operation by the EnergySaver Control System. EnergySaver controllers allow remote speed adjustment of up to four FFUs attached to each PDM unit.

Similar to the unit above, but includes NEC electrical enclosure mounted to the side of the cleanroom that provides easy access to serviceable components, including circuit breakers. Electrical panel allows multiple Power Distribution Modules and all other cleanroom electrical equipment to be hard-wired to a single dedicated power source, reducing reliance on an electrical contractor to complete cleanroom installation.

Adapter Housing for Carbon Filtration and UV Sanitation

Carbon Filtration removes solvent and other chemical vapors to ensure a safe, clean process environment. The adapter module accommodates two 6" (152 mm)-thick charcoal cartridges, which typically provide 15 to 24 months of effective vapor filtration, depending on concentration. Carbon filters restrict air flow; air velocity with dual filters installed typically falls to around 50 ft./min. with FFU on high speed.

Select one adapter housing for each 2' x 4' (610 mm x 1219 mm) FFU, and two charcoal cartridges and/or sterilization modules per adapter housing. Adapter must be ordered together with Terra WhisperFlow™ FFU
