Terra glove boxes are designed as positive-pressure isolation chambers that operate with a continuous inflow of process gas and include bleed valves to relieve overpressures. Unless specified, they are not designed as low-leak or air-tight containment chambers, nor should they be used with hazardous substances that require air-tight seals. In containment applications, a glove box should typically be operated under continuous negative pressure, via a ventilated duct, so that any small leaks do not contaminate the operator or the environment.

Photoresist Deposition Isolator

Designed to provide a clean, moisture-free environment for applying photoresist, this isolator is large enough to accommodate wafer spinners used in the deposition process.
It incorporates a high-volume process gas mixer that controls percentages of two process gases. A three-sided plenum design recirculates the process gas through dual filter/fan modules for HEPA filtration (99.99% efficient @ 0.3µm particles). Magnehelic® gauges and backpressure alarms ensure filter/fan efficiency. In addition, the bottom plenum includes cooling coils that compensate for heat-generating process equipment to ensure a constant temperature of 68°F (20°C).
Dual-side air locks afford easy loading and unloading of wafers. The radius corners of all internal seams allow easy wipe-down and eliminate cracks where particles can collect.
Material Stress Testing Glove Box Isolator
Application Requirements:
- Temperature: Stable, ± 1°F (±18°C) for 30 min. HOLD temperatures from -20°F to +140°F (-29°C to 60°C); Pass-through oven heating to 300°C

This glove box isolator is designed for accelerated-life testing of elastomers, fiber composites, and other materials over a broad range of temperature, -20°F to +140°F (-29°C to 68°C) and humidity (5 to 95% RH).
Double-wall construction is required on all sides. Viewing windows are double-pane polycarbonate for strength and temperature resistance. 304 Stainless steel walls include 4" (102 mm) of polyurethane insulation.
A pass-through oven on one side of the processing chamber allows degassing at temperatures up to 300°C, and an opposing-side air lock allows parts removal. A closed-loop recirculation module continuously recycles air through a HEPA filter (rated 99.99% efficient @ 0.3µm particles) and an activated charcoal filter for removal of organic vapors.
A large chamber allows multiple-operator access, and hinged glove ports locking port caps facilitate quick glove change-outs without contamination of the chamber environment.
Protein Analysis Glove Box Isolator

This glove box isolator is used for protein analysis of meat samples in a refrigerated, inert atmosphere.
It includes a refrigeration module capable of maintaining temperatures as low as -20°C. The 304 stainless steel chamber features double-wall construction with 4" (102 mm) of polyurethane insulation for optimal thermal efficiency. A humidity control system, including a variable purge controller and automatic humidity controller, regulates the nitrogen process gas to maintain an internal moisture level as low as 2%RH.
A microscope bellows accommodates the protein analysis equipment. The side air lock allows convenient introduction of samples, and tempered glass viewing window can be tilted open for easy removal of large equipment.
Stable Temperature/Humidity Containment Glovebox
This glovebox safely contains potential biohazards while providing a stable environment over a broad range of temperatures (-2°C to 36°C) tested at various humidity levels between 0 and 75% RH. The stainless steel chamber features 2" (51 mm) of insulation and internal dimensions of 33" x 33" x 33" (838 mm 838 mm x 838 mm), overall dimensions: 37"W x 37"D x 52"H (940 mm x 940 mm x 1321 mm).
A high-capacity air conditioner holds a stable temperature down to -2°C, and a 4000W heater integrated into the evaporator coil achieves temperature stability to 36°C. The dry nitrogen feed gas provides a low %RH; an ultrasonic humidifier provides elevated RH to 74% without moisture condensation. The chamber includes a bag-in/bag-out port that can be used for transferring waste out of the chamber. The large swing-up access door allows easy cleaning of the chamber.
