These chairs combine superb cleanliness with
static-control features. All metal frame and components are
carefully designed for complete static drainage and nonshedding,
cleanroom-compatible performance. They feature conductive
casters to ensure charge dissipation. All exposed metal surfaces
are chrome plated. The static-dissipative vinyl used in their
construction is layered with colored vinyl outside and carbon
underneath to ensure excellent static-dissipative characteristics
(see specifications below for performance test data).
This design minimizes the possibility of particle generation
during everyday use. Other construction features ensure
a long, trouble-free service life. Seats and backrests include
internal bumper guards to enhance appearance and protect
the vinyl from abrasions that occur when the chair is bumped
into desks and benches. Standard backrests help eliminate
fatigue and back stress; the larger ergonomic backrests
feature additional internal support that enhances comfort
and protects against fabric splitting. The "Soft Touch"
pneumatic lift takes the contortions out of height adjustment—a
simple press of a lever raises or lowers the seat to a comfortable
height.
