These freestanding, double-wall structures meet critical requirements for flexible configurations, rapid delivery, and clean operation.

Pre-Engineered, Modular Designs for Accelerated Delivery
Engineered for ease of installation and cleaning, BioSafe® Cleanroom panels come in standard 4-foot (1219 mm) widths and heights ranging from 7 to 10 feet (2134 mm to 3048 mm). Their modular design lets you configure a custom cleanroom using pre-engineered components, many of which are inventoried at Terra’s Fullerton, California manufacturing facility.   Terra technicians factory-assemble and test each BioSafe®Cleanroom to ensure it meets performance requirements prior to packaging. Panels and other components are labeled before crating to simplify installation, which typically requires no special contracting or permitting (on-site installation and testing services available).

Whether your requirements call for a single room or a multi-suite facility, your BioSafe® Cleanroom is operational in a fraction of the time and at a fraction of the cost associated with conventional cleanrooms.

Double-Wall Structure Enhances Aseptic Processing

The two-piece design of BioSafe® steel panels provides the benefits of standard bio-cleanroom wall construction in a completely modular panel.

BioSafe® panels support aseptic operations. All panel materials—powder-coated steel, 304/316 stainless steel, and tempered safety glass—stand up to frequent cleaning with standard disinfectants, including DI water/alcohol solutions. Panel seams are caulked with FDA-approved silicone sealant to eliminate cracks that could harbor germs and other contaminants. Radius bends on corner panels further facilitate cleaning by providing smooth surfaces that are easy to wipe down. (See cleaning protocol for additional information.)

Each panel features a snap-off cover for easy access to internal components:

  • Electrical and data lines: installation of all wiring inside the panel allows flush-mount outlets and data ports.
  • Air returns: internal air channels eliminate the need for vertical ducting of return air inside the cleanroom (more on HVAC and air control system).
  • Insulation: insulation mounted inside panels not only reduces energy costs in air conditioned BioSafe® Cleanrooms, but also increases rigidity of the double-panel structure (eliminating “oil can” deflection) and reduces noise and vibration.
  • Vacuum, DI water and gas utilities: quick-connect fittings allow convenient access to service lines plumbed inside the panels.

Window and Door Materials for Every Requirement

Panels are easily modified to accommodate many window sizes (standard dimensions: 36”W x 48”H, 914 mm x 1219 mm). Available in single- or double-glazed configurations, windows mount in rugged steel casings to ensure safe support.

Access doors are available in single and double-door designs. Specify swing direction (standard mounting: door swings away from clean room).
